START (Students Taking Augmented Reality Tours) provides immersive tours of participating colleges and universities through a fun, gamified approach. Simply download the school’s content and experience a self-guided tour of the campus. The app provides a 3D map that displays your current location and indicates notable campus landmarks. As you visit these landmarks, you will view live-action videos, collect items, earn badges, and learn more about college life.

START currently includes downloadable content for Cameron University, Southwestern Oklahoma State University (SWOSU), and Eastern Oklahoma State College (EOSC). Additional colleges and universities will
be added in the future.

START was developed through a partnership between the Oklahoma Regents for Higher Education and the University of Oklahoma’s K20 Center. The project was funded by the GEAR UP program sponsored by the United States Department of Education. Content for individual colleges and universities was developed in partnership with each participating institution.
