Who We Are
K20 GEAR UP the METRO (Maximizing Education Through Real-world Opportunities) is a partnership between the K20 Center for Educational and Community Renewal (K20) and 17 high-poverty, low-academic readiness schools located in 3 urban Oklahoma districts. The partnership seeks to impact 7,123 students through a 7-year, dual cohort project beginning with 6th and 7th grades in FY2025. The goals and objectives will guide its services to increase.
Our Goals
GOAL 4
Increase GEAR UP the METRO schools’ high school graduation and PSE enrollment rates.
GOAL 3
Increase GEAR UP the METRO students’ and their families’ knowledge of PSE options, preparation, and financing.
GOAL 2
Increase GEAR UP the METRO students’ academic preparation for post-secondary education (PSE) upon graduation from participating schools.
GOAL 1
Increase the percentage of cohort students who report they are engaged in learning.
