About Taylor Thurston
Taylor Thurston is the K20 Center’s Senior Creative and Technical Writer. Her daily duties include editing a variety of lessons, professional development activities, and career readiness materials, as well as assisting with the management of the Writing Team. Before joining the Center, Taylor attended the University of Oklahoma to study copywriting and fleshed out her interests in language, social justice, history, and storytelling. She gained experience in writing and research by working on campus at the student-run advertising agency Lindsey + Asp, at OU’s Gender + Equality Center, and at the OU Daily student newspaper. Outside of campus, she has worked as a freelance copywriter and as an administrative professional in OKC. At K20, she supports the team and the K20 staff by maintaining tight standards and a high degree of polish for all curriculum materials, instructional resources, professional learning experiences, and career readiness activities. She is passionate about fulfilling students’ needs with research-based practices in education and strives to create the most authentic, most conscientious classroom experiences for both students and educators.
