When Sara Bacon chose her major in college, she knew she wanted to focus on something that would allow her to serve her community in a positive way. She wanted be in the political world, serve as a voice of her community, implement effective change through legislation. She took that desire and focused on a degree in political science. After working for two elected officials and working in that world, she quickly learned that it was not for her. Her passion, however, remained.

She learned about other ways to serve her community just as effectively without being an elected official. In grad school, she found Public Administration and knew it would be the bridge between her passion and turning it into a career.

Her degrees have afforded her the opportunities to work with universities, private organizations, and state governments in the capacity of grants management and oversight.
