About Kelsey Willems

As an Instructional Designer, Kelsey Willems collaborates with K20 subject matter experts to create engaging learning activities, dynamic course content, and apply research based instructional design theories, practices, and methods. Currently, Kelsey is a phd student in the Rhetoric and Writing studies program at The University of Oklahoma. Her dissertation focuses on how trauma is seen, experienced, and engaged with in student writing within the First Year Composition classroom. During her time at OU Kelsey has taught courses in composition as well as technical writing. Prior to her time at OU she has also taught college composition and World/American literature courses at various universities for about 6 years. Additionally, she has taught high school sophomore English and freshmen remedial reading courses for 2 years. At the K20 Center Kelsey Willems serves as an instructional design curriculum writer, collaborating on resources to help ensure the greatest possible positive impact on student learning.
