About James Doyle

James D. Doyle is the Educator Micro-Credential Specialist for GEAR UP for LIFE at the K20 Center. He started at K20 in 2021 as an Electives Curriculum Specialist where he developed elective lessons for K20’s LEARN repository and worked with secondary educators as an instructional coach.

James holds a B.M. in Music Performance from the University of Central Oklahoma and an M.A. in Music Education from Adams State University. He is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Music Education from the University of Oklahoma with a research focus on technology micro-credentials for teachers in music education. Before coming to the K20 Center, James taught band and orchestra, and he is still an active composer and arranger.
