About Carolyn Raynor, Ph.D.

Carolyn Raynor is currently a K20 Center Online Learning Designer. She came to the K20 Center from New Mexico State University where she earned a Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis in Learning Design and Technology. Her professional career has been informed by 15 years of professional experience working with adults in higher education settings, with 8 years in the online classroom. Her research has been published in TechTrends, Education and Treatment of Children, and the Asian Journal of Distance Education. She holds a Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction, a Graduate Certificate in Online Teaching and Learning, and a M.A. in Sociology from the University of Texas at El Paso, and a B.A.in Political Science from the University of Missouri-Columbia, On a personal level, she is a mother of four young adult children. In her free time, she likes to be in nature, read, and travel the globe.
