Deeper by Design

This two-day professional development institute is designed for career teachers looking to sharpen their craft—and for any educator who wants to design curriculum and instruction with more purpose, clarity, and rigor, from classroom teachers to instructional coaches to curriculum leaders. 

Grounded in Understanding by Design (UbD), the institute helps you plan backward from meaningful learning goals, craft assessments that truly measure understanding, and build lessons that move students toward deeper thinking. Along the way, you’ll work with complementary tools like Webb’s Depth of Knowledge, Bloom’s Taxonomy, and Visible Thinking Routines, not as a stack of competing frameworks, but as a coherent set of tools that serve one goal—intentional teaching.
