Oklahoma Achievement through Collaborations & Technology Support is the first of the K20 Center’s Five Phases Model for school transformation: Leaders learning.

OK-ACTS is a three day seminar in which head superintendents and principals come together to learn from the K20 Center and each other. Following the seminar, participants meet in smaller groups or “clusters” for cluster meetings.

OK-ACTS expands leaders’ technology skills and creates a collaborative network in which participants and K20 professionals collaborate, problem-solve, and work together toward systemic change.

Thus far, more than two thousand principals and superintendents from all over Oklahoma have participated in Phase I, Leadership.

“This was the most beneficial conference/academy I have ever been to. It was fast-paced and high energy. Relevant information everywhere I turned.”

“This was an awesome, worthwhile experience for me. I will benefit from the research-basis and IDEALS when branding our district.”

“Excellent training. I was engaged continuously and never felt bored. Great Job.”

- Quotes from feedback forms, OK-ACTS Leadership Seminar 2013

Oklahoma’s Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation leadership development OK-ACTS project was ranked third nationally by the NSDC in 2004.

Each participant receives an iPad for use in their school district and extensive training on classroom technology options/integration methods.

After attending this seminar, participants have access to the OK-ACTS website, a “cluster coach” (a current principal or superintendent who serves as a group mentor), and the network of fellow participants formed through the seminar.

OK-ACTS gives its leaders the tools, strategy, resources and vision to initiate major improvements in student learning and classroom technology.

Registration for OK-ACTS is $399.00 per superintendent or head principal. Head superintendents and principals are the preferred audience for OK-ACTS. Other school and/or district leaders may attend with a registration cost of $1500 per person. Please contact the K20 Center if you have questions.*

* The cost of Return to Leadership is $399.00 which includes three days of training, an iPad for district use, the Classwalk app, and a set of instructional strategy cards.

Each Phase I participant and Return to Leadership participant will receive one free registration to the K20 Center’s annual Innovative Learning Institute.

Applications must be received by the K20 Center by the deadline – three weeks prior to the seminar. Applicants will be contacted by the K20 Center with registration information.
