I am the math curriculum specialist for the GEAR UP OKC grant. I have a passion for helping people discover who they are and grow into who they were put on this earth to be. Through the lens of a curriculum specialist, I work to help teachers strengthen their voice and grow their craft because there is only one them and what they have to offer to education, their students and community is so valuable. This position allows me to assume the role of a coach. I get to work alongside and support teachers by helping them create an authentic, student- centered learning experience for their students by sharing with them proven educational researched lessons and instructional strategies.  Before working at K20, I was a middle school and Algebra 1 teacher for about 10 years. I have a Bachelor’s in Elementary Education with an emphasis in math and a Master’s in Educational Leadership. I am currently working on my Ph.D. in Mathematics Instructional Leadership and Academic Curriculum.
