About Mark Forsberg
Mark has over 15 years of education experience in formal and nonformal settings, including K-12 education, adult basic education, parent/family education, higher education, and adult learning. Mark served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in both Guatemala (2009-2011) and South Africa (2023-2024), working in education and sustainable community development. Additionally, Mark has done community outreach in Minneapolis/St. Paul. He has done substantial work with English Language Learners and has achieved advanced Spanish proficiency through work with Spanish speakers. Mark’s practice in education includes work in curriculum development and training design for college and career readiness, as well as peace education through research and field work in Myanmar. Additional projects in facilitation and virtual learning production, range from work as a consultant on USAID projects to work as a Standardized Patient Instructor with first-year medical students at George Washington School of Medicine and Health Sciences. Mark worked on the GEAR UP grant with the State of Minnesota from 2011-2017.
