About Mariah Warren, M.Ed.

Mariah serves as the GEAR UP for the FUTURE Lead Professional Development Coordinator and an Oklahoma Educational Technology Trust Instructional Technology Specialist. In these roles, she creates and facilitates authentic learning experiences through various methods of professional development for educators. She also serves as the co-chair for the K20 Center’s annual professional development conference, Innovative Learning Institute, and is a member of the Professional Learning Committee. 

Mariah began working with the K20 Center in June 2019,  as the Science and Math Curriculum Specialist for GEAR UP for the FUTURE. As a classroom teacher, she previously taught high school biology, human anatomy and physiology, environmental science, and algebra I in Charleston, South Carolina.

She has presented at local, state, and national conferences across the U.S. In 2012, she obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology for Secondary Education from the University of West Georgia. In 2019, she received a Master’s degree in Teaching, Learning, and Advocacy with an emphasis in Curriculum and Instruction from the College of Charleston. Mariah is currently a doctoral candidate in Instructional Leadership and Academic Curriculum at OU with a focus on STEM education.
