About Lindsay Hawkins

Lindsay Hawkins serves as the Project Director for the K20 Center’s GEAR UP for MY SUCCESS project, overseeing the implementation of grant initiatives to support educators and students across 24 districts. She leads the strategic planning and implementation of grant initiatives, overseeing the development of authentic student learning experiences that are tailored to address the unique needs identified by individual school data.”

She begain working at the K20 Center in May 2016 as the Professional Development Writer and Editor for GEAR UP for the PROMISE and later served as the Lead Professional Development Coordinator for the MY SUCCESS grant before transitioning into her current role. Before joining the K20 Center, she was a classroom teacher, instructing 6th and 7th grade mathematics and Pre-Algebra at Walnut Grove Middle School in Midlothian, Texas. She also served as a Mathematics Resource Specialist at Eisenhower Elementary School in Norman, Oklahoma, and taught 6th grade in Fallbrook, California.

In 2018, she earned a master’s degree in Instructional Leadership and Academic Curriculum with an emphasis in Mathematics, and in 2005, she obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education, both from the University of Oklahoma.

Born and raised in Norman, Lindsay is proudly ‘Sooner Born and Sooner Bred.’ In her free time, she enjoys working in her yard and supporting her children’s involvement in The Sooner Theatre.
