About Lacy Pennington, M.HR.
Lacy serves as the Project Director for the GEAR UP for MY SUCCESS project at the University of Oklahoma’s K20 Center. She has worked in higher education for fifteen years in a variety of facets, including financial aid, admissions, and career services. The Project Director is responsible for coordinating team members from across the grant and work with school leaders in order to implement project goals and objectives. Lacy previously served as the Lead Student Experiences Coordinator for MY SUCCESS and the Parent and Community Coordinator for a previous GEAR UP urban grant at the K20 Center. She is a first-generation college graduate, growing up in rural Oklahoma, and has completed a bachelor’s and master’s degree program. In addition to her role with GEAR UP, she also serves as the co-chair for the K20 Center’s annual professional development conference, Innovative Learning Institute, and is a member of the Professional Learning Committee.
