About Brittney Morrissey

As the Evaluation and Data Scientist for GEAR UP for LIFE, Brittney evaluates the impact of the K20 Center’s grant services and progress toward grant objectives, and provides support for the continuous improvement of grant services. Additionally, she partners with school- and district-level data personnel for all things data and student testing throughout the course of the grant. As a first-generation college student, Brittney is passionate about making education accessible for students of all backgrounds and abilities, and she loves being part of research and data analysis that enhances the K20 Center’s capacity to provide the best services possible to students.

Prior to working at K20, Brittney served as an evaluator for a State Professional Development Grant (SPDG) awarded by the Office of Special Education and Rehabilitative Services. As a researcher, she is skilled in quantitative and qualitative methods, with expertise in understanding how and why difference matters for interpersonal communication and social belonging. This helps her better understand and adapt, to support the students, educators, and communities that the K20 Center serves on GEAR UP for LIFE.
