About Brittney Morrissey
As the Evaluation and Data Scientist for GEAR UP for LIFE, I evaluate the impact of our grant services, progress toward grant objectives, and provide support for continuous improvement of grant services. Additionally, I partner with school- and district-level data personnel for all things data and student testing throughout the course of the grant. As a first-generation college student, I am extremely passionate about accessible education for students of all backgrounds and abilities, and I love being part of research and data analysis that enhances our capacity to provide the best services possible to students! Prior to working at K20, I served as an evaluator for a State Professional Development Grant (SPDG) awarded by the Office of Special Education and Rehabilitative Services. As a researcher, I am skilled in quantitative and qualitative methods with expertise in understanding how and why difference matters for interpersonal communication and social belonging, which helps me better understand and adapt to support the students, educators, and communities we serve on GEAR UP for LIFE.
