Amber is the Lead Student Experiences Coordinator for GEAR UP for MY SUCCESS at the University of Oklahoma’s K20 Center. She has worked in education for over 15 years in various facets, including as a mathematics teacher and basketball coach. A large part of her role includes exposing students to different post-secondary options by organizing large-scale field trips to college and career tech campuses and developing engaging college and career curricula. She previously served as the Mathematics Curriculum Specialist for GEAR UP for MY SUCCESS. She has a doctorate from the University of Oklahoma in Instructional Leadership and Academic Curriculum, specializing in mathematics education access and problem solving. She loves traveling and cannot wait to pack her passport again.
