GEAR UP grants
GEAR UP (Gaining Early Awareness and Readiness for Undergraduate Programs) is a 7-year program sponsored by the US Dept. of Education. It aims to increase the number of low-income students prepared for postsecondary education by providing grants to high-poverty middle and high schools. GEAR UP follows student cohorts from the seventh grade through high school graduation and into the first year of college, offering academic support, college visits, career exploration, and services to educators to build sustainable supports for future classes.

School leaders who complete the OK-ACTS Leadership Seminar become eligible to participate in the grants to schools program, which helps schools implement effective technology-driven teaching strategies.
