The K20 Innovative Learning Institute offers many opportunities for learning and sharing through more than 60 professional development and networking sessions, discussion panels and guest speakers. To help participants focus on a specific area of interest or need, the sessions are organized into strands that significantly impact education.

Single attendee registration is $100, and registration for a group of 4 is $300. Payment is to be completed after registration.

K20 ILI 2018 Keynote Speaker Debbie Silver

With 30 years spent as a teacher, staff development instructor, and university professor, Debbie Silver doesn’t just know her way around the classroom – she is familiar with the challenges educators face at every level, from kindergarten to college. The former Louisiana Teacher of the Year has given presentations around the world (including 49 states, Canada, Mexico, Europe and Asia), helping audiences to interact with students on a deeper level.

Touchstone Energy Cooperatives and the K20 Center will recognize regional and statewide

SKIE award winners

(Supporting K20 Innovative Educators)

Teachers or groups of educators who use technology to transform their classroom instruction applied for the Touchstone Energy Cooperatives Supporting K20 Innovative Educators (SKIE) Award.  Made possible by a $90,000 donation from Touchstone Energy Cooperatives, the SKIE award will honor six regional winners with $500 award and one statewide winner with an individual $1,500 award and a $1,000 technology award for the state winner’s school.

Recipients of the SKIE Award:

  • Possessed a record of outstanding application/integration of the K20 Center IDEALS;
  • Demonstrated excellence in teaching and the use of technology
  • Demonstrated instruction that is both engaging and effective for students
