Jami Henson began working as the Mentoring Coordinator for GEAR UP for MY SUCCESS in May 2019. Jami has an M.A. in Composition and Rhetoric and a B.A. in English Education from the University of Central Oklahoma. As the Mentoring Coordinator, Jami works with a team to organize, advertise, and execute the center’s career initiatives, including the Zoom Into Your Career Expos, Career Cafes, and College2Career Forum. Passionate about making career exploration accessible to all students, Jami is dedicated to creating high-quality career activities and events. Jami’s favorite part about working at the K20 Center is the evolving nature of the job tasks. Born and raised in Oklahoma, Jami enjoys spending time with her close family and friends. In her free time, she can be found dancing at Norman’s local ballroom studio. Jami hopes to continue learning and growing through her work at the K20 Center so she can better serve Oklahoma educators.
