About Daniella Peters

Daniella Peters is the Director of the Writing Team at the K20 Center. Her daily duties include working with staff across the center to edit and publish a variety of lessons, professional development activities, and career-readiness materials on K20’s LEARN website. Before joining the K20 Center, Daniella attended the University of Oklahoma and studied professional writing and Spanish. While on campus, she gained editorial experience as the copy chief at the OU Daily student-run news organization. Her thorough editing and fact-checking skills have taken her many places since then, including Taste of Home and the Associated Press. She also has self-published two Young Adult fiction stories and currently is preparing a novel for publication. At the K20 Center, Daniella supports the Writing Team and the K20 staff by ensuring accuracy, clarity, and consistency in grammar, mechanics, and style conventions for all curriculum materials and instructional resources. She approaches each day with meticulous attention to not only the technical aspects of her work at K20, but also the importance of student-centered learning and authentic, culturally responsive pedagogy.
